It is fun to shop at the Waynesboro Day Care Center Thrift Shop, because you never know what you will find, and you may find just what you are looking for. Thrift store shopping is great for finding a bargain and adding items to your wardrobe or that of your children for little cost. Second-hand is no longer second-best, it is about sharing wants and needs with others.
When you see the price tags on children's clothing at the department stores, do you gasp a bit, suffer from sticker shock, or just shake your head and move on? Do you want to stretch that dollar a bit? We can help you, as you will find many items at the Thrift Store at bargain prices.
We all know how fast children outgrow their
clothing. Often, donated clothing
shows little wear and is in excellent condition. You will find a wide variety
of such clothing at the thrift shop which includes well-known, brand-name (even
upscale) clothing, all at drastically reduced, affordable prices.
When you have clean, serviceable clothing that has been outgrown, please donate them to the Waynesboro Day Care Center Thrift Shop. Items for sale are always donated. Every cent from the sale goes directly to help defray the costs of providing child care for Waynesboro's working families.
In addition to children's clothing,
the Thrift Shop also has quality adult clothing, accessories, shoes, bedding,
dishes, small household items and appliances,
small furniture, home decor, knick knacks, jewelry, baskets, books, toys, CDs
and tapes, and movies on DVD. The items we can accept
must be clean and serviceable. We cannot accept donations of furniture and
large appliances because of space limitations or other factors.
The Thrift Shop, staffed by volunteers, is open on Thursday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Donations are gratefully accepted at these times. If you supply us with your name and address an end-of-the-year statement will be mailed to you with a summary of your tax deductible donations.
