(WIN) Victim Services

Women in Need (WIN) Victim Services works with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse, and other crimes in the Franklin and Fulton county areas. Founded in 1976, WIN was organized to provide services to victims of rape. One year later, the non-profit agency was expanded to help victims of domestic violence. In 1979, WIN opened the door of its first shelter for battered women and their children.
Victims of assault, domestic violence, child abuse, rape and many other crimes are eligible for the services provided by WIN. Crimes do not need to be reported to the police for victims to receive WIN's services, and all services are confidential. There is never a fee for any of the services provided by WIN, regardless of one's income. http://www.winservices.org/

National Domestic Violence Hotline answers more than 16,000 calls per month from victims, survivors, friends and family members, law enforcement personnel, domestic violence advocates, and the general public. Hotline advocates provide support and assistance to anyone involved in a domestic violence situation, including those in same-sex relationships, male survivors, those with disabilities and immigrant victims of domestic violence. All calls to the National Domestic Violence Hotline are confidential. Hotline services include crisis intervention, information about domestic violence, and a direct connection to domestic violence resources available in the caller's area.
